Domiciliary Care SA takes pride in its long history of service to clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
We aim to provide responsive services for all our clients, including through:

• advice from specialised service coordinators,
• the provision of client information in a variety of languages, and
• availability of interpreters to assist communication between clients and staff.

In 2004, we developed our Service Delivery Framework for Clients from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Backgrounds. The Framework identifies a number of key action areas, including:

• employee recruitment and retention programs aimed at securing more bilingual staff within MDC,the development of cultural competency standards,
• the development of a service delivery framework that is flexible and responsive to the needs of clients from different backgrounds, and
• the development of a monitoring mechanism relating to client access and equity.
